Hi! I'd like to introduce myself.

My name is Leonardo D Ricalde Jr and I am a License Professional Teacher.

I have a degree in Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with units in Education and 36 Units in Master of Arts in Education (Maed) Major in Administration and Supervision.

I am very passionate about teaching and have been doing so since 2012 to 2019. I also recently passed the Board Examination for Teacher on December 20, 2016. I'm excited to have the opportunity to teach you and I'm sure you'll find my classes both interesting and informative.

I look forward to having an enjoyable and productive school year with each and every one of you.

Are You Prepared for Your Course Requirements?

Welcome to this course! In order to successfully complete the course, you will be required to meet certain assessment requirements. These requirements are designed to evaluate your understanding of the course material and to encourage active participation throughout the learning process. Your final grade will be determined by a combination of factors, including examinations, outputs, and EMA/quizzes.

Examinations will account for 50% of your final grade, and will test your ability to recall and apply the concepts covered in class. Outputs, which make up 30% of your final grade, will require you to demonstrate your understanding of the course material through projects, papers, or other forms of work assigned by your instructor. EMA/quizzes will make up the remaining 20% of your final grade, and will assess your comprehension of the material covered in class.

Throughout the course, it is important to stay engaged and keep up with the course material in order to perform well on the assessments. Your instructor will provide additional details on each assessment as the course progresses, including dates and specific requirements. Good luck with your studies!

How Grading Systems in Schools Affect Students

Grading systems in schools are a critical tool for measuring student progress and success. It allows teachers, parents, and students to track a student’s performance and growth over a period of time. Grades are also used to determine the eligibility of a student for scholarships, college admissions, and other awards. 

Grading systems typically consist of a numerical scale, with the highest grade being 1.00 which is equivalent to 100 points, and the lowest being 5, a failure.

In between, grades typically range from 1.00 to 5.00. In many schools, grades of 5.00 are considered a failing grade, and grades of 2.75 to 3.00 are considered a passing grade.

Grades of 2.25 to 2.50 are considered good, 2.00 to 1.75 are very good and 1.50 to 1 are excellent. While having grades of 4.00 means incomplete and is subject for rectifications provided that students  comply to special activities and or programs set by the instructors in-line with the schools, policy.

The grading system has a direct impact on the performance of students. The higher the grade the student receives, the more motivated he or she will be to study harder and achieve better results.

On the other hand, students who fail to meet the expected standards or who receive lower grades may become discouraged and unwilling to put in the extra effort.

It is important for teachers, parents and school administrators to recognize the influence that the grading system can have on students.

It is important to create a grading system that is fair and encourages students to strive for excellence, while also allowing those who are struggling to get the help they need. In addition, it is important to ensure that the grading system is consistently applied and that grades reflect a student’s effort and learning.

Grading systems are an important tool for measuring student progress and success, but it is important to keep in mind the impact it can have on students. By creating a fair, consistent grading system and providing students with the support they need, teachers can help ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed.
